While You're At Millie's

Start your day with a cup of coffee and a good book while taking in the breathtaking landscape of the Ozarks. Enjoy the serene beauty and keep an eye out for bald eagles soaring overhead.

For dining, you have the option to savor your meal on the deck with a stunning view or take the boat to one of the many local waterfront restaurants.

The fun doesn’t stop there—spend your afternoons engaging in water sports like fishing or boating. Later, take a leisurely walk through the woods, and perhaps end your evening with a refreshing margarita at Red Fox.

The Lake

The Lake of the Ozarks is a vast reservoir created by damming the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. This impressive body of water includes extents of three smaller tributaries: the Niangua River, Grandglaize Creek, and Gravois Creek. Impounded by the Bagnell Dam, constructed between 1929 and 1931 to provide hydroelectric power for the St. Louis area, the lake boasts a surface area of 54,000 acres and 1,150 miles of shoreline. The main channel of the Osage Arm stretches an impressive 92 miles from end to end, contributing to a total drainage area exceeding 14,000 square miles. It is one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States.
