While You're At Millie's

You can choose to eat dinner on the deck or take the boat to one of the many local restaurants on the water. Wake to a cup of coffee and a good book while taking in the beautiful landscape of the Ozarks. There is a good chance you may see bald eagles flying over head.  Later in the day, you could take in water sports like fishing or boating. Then close out your day with a walk through the woods, or maybe  the night ends with a margarita at Red Fox.

The Lake

The Lake of the Ozarks is a large reservoir created by daming the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. Extents of three smaller tributaries to the Osage, the Niangua River, Grandglaize Creek, and Gravois Creek, are included in the impoundment. It is impounded by Bagnell Dam, built (1929–31) across the Osage River to provide hydroelectric power for the St. Louis area. The lake has a surface area of 54,000 acres, 1,150 miles of shoreline, and the main channel of the Osage Arm stretches 92 miles from end to end. The total drainage area is over 14,000 square miles. one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States.
